Highlight has released the 6th MINI ALBUM [From Real to Surreal] on April 28 with the title track 'Chains.'
'Chains' is hip-hop genre song that starts with a fresh clarinet riff. When the song starts, an addictive melody flows over a minimal track, and a crazy love that can give even the soul is energetically wrapped around Highlight's sensual vocals. Instinctive love breaks the given chain and eventually returns to a predetermined fate. It sings of a desperate love that cannot escape even if you try to run away, and endlessly falls together.

'Endless Ending'
'What would it have been like? If our ending had been different from now. If we had filled it with warmer things instead of hating each other, would it have been a little different?'
Past relationships are like movies that have already been filmed. Since they can no longer be changed, we live with them in our hearts like scars. 'Endless Ending' is a ballad that compares regret over the ending of an unchangeable breakup and longing for memories that have already passed to the ending of a movie, and melts it into HIGHLIGHT's unique vocal tone.
'Good Day to You'
This R&B genre song with a groovy rhythm deeply expresses the protagonist's sorrowful feelings of still waiting for that person in belated regret, although it is a lonely goodbye with the greeting 'Good Day to You'. It delicately captures the feelings of trying to calmly accept a relationship that has ended but still cannot let go of the regret. The dreamy yet hazy keyboard sound is added to the sweet and warm guitar tone and melody, further maximizing the feelings of regret and longing.
'Follow Me'
A punk rock track that adds hyper-pop elements to a refreshing band sound. The fast and energetic guitar performance and the lively hyper-pop sound are in harmony. Just listening to it is refreshing to the ears and makes the heart beat.
In our busy daily lives, we often forget the dreams we have kept for a long time. A message from the HIGHLIGHT members who have been with their fans for a long time. It contains the message that we should not hesitate any longer and move forward together toward our dreams at this very moment.
With the release of the album the group sent a heartfelt letter to the fans.
The reason we want to become unreal is simple. A world without war, days where quarrels, violence, jealousy, etc. have disappeared into peaceful days. We want our music to be in these useless and beautiful things that are currently absent from us for various reasons. So, we hope that the 3 minutes or so of listening to each song will take you away from your boring, ordinary, and simple daily life and bring you to the middle of a crazy, intense love, and sometimes in front of a festival stage built on a green field. We hope that your life will change a little bit because of our music. We hope that our music will be a shelter where you can take a deep breath.
The reason we want to become reality is also simple. As time passes, the time and memories contained in the music become more precious than the music itself. After we were able to use the name BEAST again, we will forever remember the cheers we heard as soon as the intro to 'Bad Girl' came on at our first concert last year. 'Ribbon', which made my heart ache throughout the song, will now be remembered even more specially by the time, space, and us that day, and 'Lightless' has become our own memories created by overlapping all the stages for a very long time. That’s why we will continue to make memories.
As time goes by, the process of releasing an album becomes more and more difficult, and it will continue to be so in the future, but we still plan to continue making music under the name of HIGHLIGHT. So I hope that the one knot called ‘music’ between you and us will bind us together strongly for a long time. So that you won’t be anxious, and that we will always be a solid, realistic presence by your side when you look back.
Now that I say this, it seems meaningless to distinguish between reality and unreality, but anyway, what we want to say is simple. To you who listen to this music, to you who like us, I hope that we can continue to be together as some kind of existence. So in the end, like a part of the lyrics of a certain song*, RIDE OR DIE, that’s the most important thing to us.
