The Bay Area welcomes back OnlyOneOf, a K-pop boy band from South Korea. It was announced at the start of the new year that the band would embark on an 11-stop USA and Canada tour to visit their overseas fans. With stops in cities such as Toronto, Montreal, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, the band is hitting the road for their Spring Tour: Our Only Odyssey 2025.

Meet the band: KB, Yoojung, Junji, Mill, and Nine. (Member Rie is currently enlisted and serving his country—we’ll miss him for now!) The group debuted in 2019 under the 8D Creative Entertainment label and have been actively promoting since. Their debut included two title tracks, "Savanna" and "Time Leap", as part of the mini-album Dot Point Jump.

OnlyOneOf has consistently released new music and participated in other creative projects, both as individuals and as a group. Known for their artistic vision, the members are involved in songwriting and shaping their own sound with each comeback. In 2024, they released their 6th mini-album, Things I Can’t Say Love, featuring the popular title track dOpamine.” This pop track showcases their charisma, sharp choreography, and artistic flair, with lyrics that reflect the euphoric rush of being in love—like a hit of dopamine.

Their most recent single, Stay,” was released on February 5, 2025. A sentimental pop ballad, Stay was written by Junji, KB, Mill, Nine, Rie, Yoojung, and collaborators Senji, Haeil, and The Paradise. The band shared this message about the song:

“This digital single album Stay expresses OnlyOneOf's wish and will. The title track, also called Stay, holds two meanings: that OnlyOneOf will always be a source of strength for Lyons (the official fan club name), and that they hope Lyons will always stay by their side.”

Going into the night, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect—it was my first time seeing the band live. For a weeknight deep in San Francisco, the crowd was a bit smaller, and as someone who’s been to various shows at different venues, I tried to keep an open mind while staying curious about how a more intimate crowd might affect the vibe.

But the moment the opening song began, the band dove into their performance, locked in with their choreography and vocals. Within just a few songs, it became clear how professional they were, even with a smaller audience. They maintained high energy and charisma, and the fans gave it right back with enthusiasm. I noticed the excitement all around me—fans in the front and even those in the back were dancing, cheering, and reacting with shock and joy. One girl at the back of the venue even danced along, clearly knowing the choreography. It was obvious that the lyOns welcomed them with open arms and high energy.

The show kicked off with “Chrome Arts,” a percussion-heavy, beat-driven song with powerful choreography that got the crowd hyped from the start. Midway through the concert, the band performed a medley of solo songs I hadn’t heard before, only to discover later that these were their individual solo projects available on Spotify! Each member had their moment to shine with self-choreographed performances. One standout for me was Mill’s solo stage for “Beat.” He had some black sunglasses on and was radiating a very charismatic aura that had fans scream.

Afterward, the members asked the crowd, “How were our solos? Whose was your favorite?” Fans screamed for every member in response. Then they announced one more solo performance—in honor of missing member Rie. They sang a touching snippet dedicated to him, and you could feel the warmth and emotion throughout the venue. He was clearly missed, both by his fellow members and the fans.

Another memorable moment was their performance of “dOpamine.” It’s an upbeat song that really comes to life on stage, and the crowd energy was electric. Even slightly out of breath, the band joked, asking if we had felt a rush of dOpamine ourselves. To further connect with the San Francisco crowd, they asked what the city is famous for. Fans shouted answers like the Golden Gate Bridge. Member KB even brought up baseball and gave a shoutout to Korean player Jung Hoo Lee of the San Francisco Giants, miming a baseball swing as a tribute before the next song—a sweet nod to local pride.

The night ended on a high note, with special ticket holders getting the chance to meet the band and take photos. All in all, the show genuinely surprised me. OnlyOneOf delivered their second-to-last show on tour with charm, professionalism, and a stage presence that left fans giddy with happiness. It was a perfect midweek pick-me-up.

Special thanks to JnB Entertainment for the invite, and to The Midway for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Keep your eye on OnlyOneOf—you won’t want to miss what they do next.
