BTS’s Jin is back to add another sprinkle of happiness into fans' lives with his second upcoming solo album, Echo. The singer who provided a jam-packed feast of emotions with his first solo album, Happy, back in December is making a surprise comeback.

Happy did an impressive job of once again showcasing the singer's great vocals but also saw the side that has always made Jin relatable in his outlook on life. Known for his desire to connect on a deeper level with fans through music, Jin continues that sentiment with Echo. The new album will offer Jin’s perspective on universal life experiences and everyday emotions delivered, no doubt, in those vocals that carry with it warmth and sincerity.

Built on dynamic band arrangements, the album will feature seven tracks that will highlight Jin’s vocal versatility across a spectrum of moods and styles. It reflects a more mature, introspective angle of personal storytelling that underscores his evolving artistry. With teaser images hinting at themes like ‘Born To Be Wild’, ‘Play it Loud’, and ‘Rock Your Heart Out’, this could perhaps be a hint to a more rock-inspired side being shown in this comeback.

The release date, which was kept a secret for a hot moment, was unveiled in a playful mission for ARMYs. On April 15th BigHit launched an interactive hunt-style game to find the album release date. They were told to gather at COEX K-pop Square for 6am; as the fans gathered, the massive screen revealed Jin in a claw machine and later revealed the release date: May 16th.

Since his military discharge, Jin has been a hurricane force, working from the get-go. From day one of discharge, he reunited with fans in a hugging event, rode carousels for album promotions, and, of course, spread chaos on his beloved YouTube series Run Jin. Most recently, Jin has showed off that much-loved carefree spirit by appearing in Netflix's Korean variety series Kian’s Bizarre B&B, where he co-runs a quirky bed-and-breakfast on South Korea’s scenic island of Ulleungdo, alongside beloved Korean webtoon artist Kian84 and SNL Korea’s Ji Ye-eun. The show highlights Jin’s comedic charm and warmth, adding yet another layer to his ever-expanding appeal.

Echo will be available on all streaming platforms worldwide on May 16 at 1PM KST. Pre-orders are now live on Weverse, Cokodive and other online retailers. Stay tuned, as more details of Echo are to be released soon.
