K-Pop fifth-generation giants ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) released today their much awaited fifth mini-album, BLUE PARADISE, returning nearly six months after their fourth mini-album CINEMA PARADISE, the first part of the ZEROBASEONE’s two-part PARADISE series. The six-track album showcases ZB1’s new soundscapes, blending elements of alternative pop, R&B, punk rock and more.

Following the previously released first part of PARADISE series, BLUE PARADISE marks ZB1’s a step forward into musical maturity and centers around a message that paradise is within all of us, saying “Blue is a Piece of Life.” The nine-member group has been highly praised for having drawn up the paradise everyone is dreaming of through their first world tour “TIMELESS WORLD.”

The fifth mini-album - which includes previously released R&B ballad song “Doctor! Doctor!” - unravels the narrative as if playing a mysterious game with emotions like sadness, anxiety, addiction, growing pains, obsession, and deviation—all stemming from the quest to discover the perfect BLUE PARADISE. ZB1 once again teamed up with K-pop hit maker KENZIE for the title track “BLUE,” following their previous title track “GOOD SO BAD.” “BLUE,” which also represents ZEROBASEONE’s fandom color, is a track that blends a cool synthesizer sound with sentimental vocals in the alternative pop dance genre, offering a mysteriously refreshing feel.

The new album also features the group’s three subunit tracks for the first time - “Out of Love” (ZHANG HAO, KIM JI WOONG and KIM GYU VIN), “Step Back” (RICKY HAN YU JIN and PARK GUN WOOK) and “Cruel” (SUNG HAN BIN, SEOK MATTHEW and KIM TAE RAE), along with a dance pop track  “Devil Game.”

ZEROBASEONE is also set to release their first U.S. physical album of BLUE PARADISE on April 4.

Meanwhile, the group’s first latest world tour TIMELESS WORLD will be screened at CGV theaters around the world in March, kicking off on March 12 in Seoul. The 4-month  long world tour in 2024 attracted over 140,000 fans across eight regions, solidifying their position as the “Fifth-Generation K-pop Icon” and meeting their fans in Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, Macau, and Japan’s Aichi and Kanagawa. More details on the film titled TIMELESS WORLD IN CINEMAS are available here.
