SM Entertainment launches its newest girl group Hearts2Hearts with their debut single “The Chase” marking the start of their journey. The album features two tracks – the title song 'The Chase' and 'Butterflies'
Hearts2Hearts is an eight-member group including JIWOO, CARMEN, YUHA, STELLA, JUUN, A-NA, IAN and YE-ON. Each with unique personalities and diverse charms, the group aims to connect with global fans and move forward together as a larger “we” through their own mysterious and beautiful musical world, filled with various emotions and heartfelt messages. As SM’s first multi-member girl group since GIRLS’ GENERATION, they have already been garnering significant attention from global audiences.
Their debut album “The Chase” represents themes of dreams and new beginnings. The title track 'The Chase' combines dreamy sound textures with an entrancing vocal melody, creating a sense of intrigue and depth. A bold bass synth anchors the song’s evolving sound, adding contrast and intensity. The lyrics reflect determination in paving one’s own path and the excitement of stepping into the unknown.
The song’s unique sound and expressive lyrics are brought to life through the collaboration of renowned songwriter KENZIE, who wrote the Korean lyrics, and UK R&B trio FLO, who co-composed the track. This collaboration enhances the group's distinct musical identity. Their performances highlight the impact of a multi-member group, featuring captivating choreography that enhances the song’s energy.
The music video for the title track 'The Chase,' released along with the album, follows eight members on a field trip where they experience a mysterious phenomenon that prompts them to stray from the expected path. They head into the city and forge their own unique blueprint in a dreamlike narrative.
Meanwhile, 'Butterflies' is a mid-tempo RnB track with a deep bassline and smooth guitar melody. Its layered vocal harmonies
