“Love Hangover” MV + teases new album RUBY out March 7th!
Our pop princess Jennie had us dancing to pretty girl “mantra,” but now she's back with new music on the way! On January 30, the Blackpink singer released a very intriguing new song and music video for her track "Love Hangover," featuring Dominic Fyke (songwriter and rapper) and actor Charles Melton (you may recognize him from Riverdale or The Sun Is Also a Star).
The music video portrays a witty and darkly humorous romance about an on-and-off relationship between two people who may not be meant for each other but can’t help it.
The video opens with a scene at a funeral where Jennie is lying in a coffin, while Charles Melton mourns the death of their love. As the music video unfolds, we see various dates and outings the two go on, which result in dangerous incidents that have Charles chasing after Jennie to try and save her. You may just have to watch it for yourself to appreciate the intriguing cinematography, humorous acting, and storyline.
Fans can also expect Jennie's new solo album, Ruby, to be released soon on March 7th! Mark your calendars! She has already teased collaborations with artists such as Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dua Lipa, Dominic Fyke, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.
Additionally, Jennie is doing a three-city showcase called The Ruby Experience on March 6th and 7th at the LA Peacock Theater, March 10th at New York's Radio City Music Hall, and March 15th at Seoul's Inspire Arena. With fans excited for the pop singer’s return, New York's show sold out within 10 minutes of tickets going on sale, and LA added a second show due to overwhelming demand.
