Seven-member boy group, GHOST9, turned up the heat for their fans (also known as GHOSTIES) on a chilly Atlanta night. On February 20 they opened their show at The Masquerade with songs they referred to as "sweeties,” their first three songs made the audience feel like they were bouncing on clouds.
As GHOST9 closed out that section of their cutesy songs, the members, Junhyung, Shin, Kangsung, Junseong, Prince, Woojin, and Jinwoo, threw paper airplanes into the crowd at the crescendo of ‘Flying at Night.’
The little details of a show can really set that atmosphere apart from other concerts. GHOST9 has a way of making their concert feel like just a night of hanging out with friends. The lights transitioned from bright and cheerful for the cutesy opening of the show to red and white for the more intense sets, and they still never forgot to pause and chat with their fans. GHOSTIES were able to submit "wishes" via a post-it note and the members each picked one at random to grant those wishes.
A few more notable moments of the night include: Junhyung's solo stage, Junseong's solo stage focused on a party vibe with a cover of ‘Call Me Maybe,' the scorpion kick-up dance move, popularized by INFINITE, and bringing their PEAK TIME cover of GOT7’s ‘Never Ever' out for another jaunt.
The boys closed the show with heartfelt songs like ‘Awesome Day' and 'Down for You.’ Something about ending shows this way always makes the end of the night feel bittersweet but the relationship between GHOST9 and their fans is one full of laughs and great music, plus extra fan interaction opportunities like snapshots after the show ends.
Don't miss the rest of their stops in Washington D.C. and New Jersey, before they head abroad to complete ‘The New Midnight’ tour.
