PRIMROSE consisting of members Rainie, Nahyun, Ruby and Hayun, has returned with their latest album, bringing us to their world with their innovative artistry and captivating storytelling. On November 14, the talented girl group released their third mini-album, "Steal Heart", an ambitious project that positions them as members of a "deadly and charming criminal organization."

Through a unique blend of music and narrative, PRIMROSE takes listeners on a thrilling journey reminiscent of a high-stakes heist movie. With genres ranging from hip-hop and jazz to R&B and dance, Steal Heart is as diverse as it is cohesive, offering a soundscape that feels cinematic and utterly immersive.

In this exclusive KpopWise interview, PRIMROSE shares insights into the creative process behind Steal Heart, the inspiration for their bold concept, and how they brought this multi-genre masterpiece to life. The group also opens up about their goals as artists, and their excitement about connecting with fans.

Nahyun

Can you tell us about the creative process of the album? How did you come up with the idea for the song?

Hayun: We did a lot of song sourcing for this album. Among them, we chose a song that would match our group's color and be easily accessible to the public. We chose a song that would fit the overall framework of the album as a heist movie, and in the end, “Steal Heart” became our title track!

What is your personal favorite song on the Steal Heart album, and what makes it special?

Ruby: I'm a big fan of “Steal Heart”!

I especially like the lyrics, “The most dramatic scene you've ever seen is me.” :)

Nahyun: I think it's the title track 'Steal Heart'. But if you ask me if there are other songs that aren't the title track, I love all of them, but I also have a soft spot for 'Trick or Trigg', which I participated in writing lyrics for!

Rainie: I like “Feel it” the most! When the music started, it felt a bit like music I'd heard in a theater, which was a refreshing feeling.

Hayun: I'm a fan of track number 5, “Feel It”! The overall atmosphere of the song and the intro contrasted with each other, making it sound more appealing.

Fans love the “Steal Heart” music video! What was the most memorable moment during the filming process?

Ruby: In our music video, we had the members do their nails together, which was special! We did half-hearts, which is connected to the meaning of Still Heart. I think we were proud of how pretty they came out.

Rainie

What do you think is the most striking part, or the “killing part,” of Still Heart?

Rainie: I think our chorus part is our killer part because of the hand heart gesture.

Are there any other K-pop idols you would like to meet or work with in the future?

Ruby: I've loved G-Dragon since I was a kid, so I'd like to meet him.

Nahyun: I'd like to meet IU. If I get the chance, I would like to go to see a performance someday.

Rainie: I really like the members of Girls' Generation, so I would like to work with them if I get the chance!

Hayun: Personally, I have big goals as a solo artist like Taeyeon, so I would like to meet her!

Do you have a specific concept or theme that you would like to try for your next comeback?

Ruby: I want to show the innocent and lively concept of a love song.

Nayeon: I want to show the public various concepts, so I want to try any song that I haven't done before.

Rainie: I want to do a killer concept! I also want to try a lot of acting in the music video!

Hayun: I want to try a song that is easy to listen to and that is suitable for winter.

Ruby

What is the most precious memory you have had as a group so far?

Ruby: I have memories of filming content in the countryside together and playing until late, so that's the most precious memory.

Nahyun: There was a time when the four of us ate and talked at a restaurant near the company until late at night, and I was really happy that day.

Rainie: I think the memories we made while eating and talking all night are the most precious!

Hayun: There are countless memories, but the one that comes to mind right now is the time we went bowling together. We played a game of 2-on-2 and it was really fun.

Do you have any tour plans? Your fans will want to see you!

Nahyun: I have so many tour dreams. We hope to work harder in the future so that we can have more days to share our songs with many people. We will work hard to perform on stage in various places.

What is your biggest dream as a team or an individual?

Ruby: My biggest dream right now is to perform a remix version on stage at the end of the year!

Nahyun: I hope more people will get to know us. I will do my best to make that happen.

Rainie: I want more people to know about PRIMROSE, and I want to go on a lot of overseas tours and become a great artist who can sing well!

Hayun: My dream as PRIMROSE is to make our group name known and to be number one someday. When our group becomes successful, I want to sing a song I wrote!

Hayun

Do you have any message you want to deliver to PRISM, who supports you?

PRIMROSE: PRISM! What do you think of our comeback song? I really like it this time. I think PRISM will like it too :)

If you do then I'm happy. We'll work harder. Thank you always!
