The group THE BOYZ will be transferring the the label ONE HUNDRED, established by Chairman Cha Ga-won.
According to One Hundred on the 15th, all members of THE BOYZ will be leaving their existing agency, IST Entertainment, whose exclusive contracts have ended, and transferring to the new agency One Hundred.
One Hundred stated,
“While talking with the members of THE BOYZ, it was nice to see all the members transferring together. I hope we can create a new chapter for THE BOYZ members who show the best teamwork,” and “We will not spare any support so that THE BOYZ members can fully display their individual abilities as well as their group activities.”
The members of THE BOYZ will begin activities as artists of One Hundred starting in the middle of next month.
However, it is unknown whether they will be able to use THE BOYZ team name as it is. The trademark rights for THE BOYZ are owned by IST Entertainment, and they are currently in negotiations regarding the use of the group name. If the negotiations fall through, THE BOYZ will have to promote under a new team name.
Currently, ONE HUNDRED's subsidiaries include EXO's Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin (INB100), and SHINee's Taemin (Big Planet Made Entertainment) and more.
The BOYZ debuted in 2017. They had a recent successful comeback with the 9th mini album "TRIGGER" on October 28.
