On October 23, Japanese rock sensation ONE OK ROCK wrapped up their “2024 Premonition World Tour” with an electrifying show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Drawing a crowd three times larger than their last LA show two years ago during the Luxury Disease North American Tour, the band captivated thousands of enthusiastic fans at their first Los Angeles arena performance.

The night began with a powerful introduction as each band member took the stage one by one: drummer Tomoya, guitarist Toru, bassist Ryota, and finally, vocalist Taka, who initially appeared wearing a gas mask before ripping it off to kick off the show. With high energy, the band launched into their set with “Delusion:All,” “Deeper Deeper,” “Taking Off,” and “Save Yourself.”

ONE OK ROCK poured their hearts into each performance, and their energy kept the audience engaged throughout the night. During another high-powered round, the band encouraged fans to sing and clap along for “Make It Out Alive” and the Japanese versions of “Vandalize” and “Renegades.” Known for their intense performances, the band switched gears with a softer moment as Toru and Taka took the stage for an acoustic rendition of “Wherever You Are,” with audience members lighting up the arena with their phones.

In a playful and vibrant part of the concert, animated characters of ONE OK ROCK interacted with the band on screen, introducing themselves before an impressive instrumental session. Taka then returned to the stage with renewed energy as the band brought “Prove” and “Neon” to life. Taka’s genuine excitement was clear as he beamed at the audience throughout the show. Near the end of “The Beginning,” he stood at the barricade, holding fans’ hands as he sang to them. For the next song, “Mighty Long Fall,” he invited
fans on the floor to make a path as he ran through the pit.

Taka, along with Ryota, Toru, and Tomoya, showed visible gratitude and pride throughout the performance. During breaks, the band reminisced about their journey, with Taka humorously sharing how they played a tiny show in LA ten years ago. He expressed deep appreciation for each experience, acknowledging how each step led to this moment at the iconic Kia Forum.

The band closed their main set with the empowering “We Are” and “Stand Out Fit In,” followed by a special encore where they surprised the crowd with a new song, “We All Matter.” Taka then gave a heartfelt speech in Japanese, expressing a hope for a more peaceful world and emphasizing the band’s commitment to addressing societal challenges through their music which will be evident in the new songs.

As the night came to an end, ONE OK ROCK announced their new single, “Dystopia,” set for release on October 25. Fans at the concert enjoyed an exclusive, first-time preview of the music video, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
