A Slice of Happiness: BTS’s Jin Delights Fans with ‘I'll Be There’ Release

What better way to start a Friday than with brand new uplifting music? BTS’s Kim Seokjin has just released “I’ll Be There,” a pre-release track from his first debut solo album, Happy, along with an accompanying music video.

The singer known for his strong vocal abilities and beautiful ballads has done a 180 and has released a track that is perfectly suited for any K-drama soundtrack. “I’ll Be There” is rooted in rockabilly—a genre merging rock and roll with country. The song boasts a catchy, hummable hook and a lively, fast-paced rhythm, which define the genre. Overflowing with joy, the song carries a sincere message for anyone feeling downhearted or alone, delivering comfort through Jin's playful yet straightforward style. Jin participated in the production of the track with American singer-songwriter MAX, achieving another level of artistic growth.


The music video reveals a new side to Jin, showcasing a grunge-inspired look with a plaid shirt, jeans, and face piercings. As he delivers upbeat lyrics, his lively energy brings in a crowd of all ages gathering around to sing and dance, swept up by the infectious sound amidst the falling confetti. The contagious, high-spirited mood is amplified as the music video comes to a close with Jin playing air guitar and running freely down a wide, sunlit street—a moment of pure joy.

It's a small glimpse as to what we can expect with his upcoming new album, Happy, which will feature a total of six tracks and explore Jin’s journey to discover true happiness. Throughout the album, Jin candidly and wholeheartedly shares a range of emotions such as love, excitement, and courage—essential ingredients to reaching true happiness. An album that will truly act as a comforting gift to fans. The album will be available in three versions: Journey, Imagine, and Navigate.


Jin’s “I’ll Be There” is now available on all streaming platforms worldwide. The multifaceted global superstar’s new album arrives on November 15.
