One of the hottest October weekends in Atlanta, was hit with a cool front as BE:MAX and BEOMHAN took the stage at the 2024 Korean Festival at Sugarloaf Mills on the 5th and 6th.

The festival encourages cultural preservation and sharing, where community members can strengthen bonds and boost their local economy. Visitors range from Atlanta locals to fans from out of town to enjoy the food, art, cultural presentations, merchant creations, and visiting K-pop artists.

Beomhan, K-pop trainee turned independent artist, spent his time on and off-stage connecting with his fans, affectionately known as Tiger Cubs. He opened his Sunday sets with “Sun’s Up,” a song written for his mom and his time leaving home to pursue his passion. While the meaning behind his songs all encompass parts of his journey, one thing Beomhan will never slack on is the energy he brings to his music even if the meaning is more solemn. As Beomhan sings, raps, and dances, the cheers from the crowd ring in the ears of every festival attendee.

He shares the next parts of his journey with tracks like, “Ashes” and “Me, Myself, and I.” After his 3:00PM performance, fans had the opportunity to meet with Beomhan through hi-touch, selfie, fansign, or polaroid options, where he was showered in kind words of love and hugs with familiar and new faces. He closed out night 2 of the festival with his final performances before heading to California to meet his west coast fans.

BE:MAX, previously known as MustB, is a 5-member group consisting of TAEGEON, WOOYEON, DOHA, SOOHYUN, and SIHOO. While the last time they visited the U.S. was 2022 for their first world tour, they came back to kickstart visiting their fans in this new era, bringing their beloved discography along with them. Songs like “Realize,” “Royalty,” and “Rush,” were just a few of the tunes fans, now known as BE:MINE, were dancing and singing along to as they reconnected with the boys on stage. They performed both Saturday and Sunday, while also managing to meet fans through fan signs, photos, and hi-touch. Some BE:MINE even mentioned how they traveled 10+ hours to be there for BE:MAX’s resurgence. It was truly a weekend not just of nostalgia but of coming together to celebrate artist and fan amongst a weekend of celebrating culture too.

Beomhan and BE:MAX were able to spend time bringing their performances to Atlanta thanks to KorUS Entertainment and KpopNation Atlanta. Keep an eye out for their future pop-ups and fan events.
