[REVIEW] Hyperfocus: Tomorrow x Together VR Concert

Tomorrow x Together, are embarking on their first VR concert theater tour in the United States.

I had the pleasure of being invited to the private media pre-screening of the VR concert to experience the concert before it hit theaters. This was actually my very first VR experience in general. When the crew helped me put on and activate the VR headset, I was transferred into a virtual concert universe where you can choose a member to guide you through. The ear-pieces provided tuned the rest of the world out so all that was present was you and TXT. Similar to a physical concert, the virtual universe provides you with a wristband and a moa lightstick through an interactive segment so you can be concert-ready.

The VR aspect added a layer of uniqueness to the concert and the quality of the footage itself is extremely vivid, as if you have 30/20 vision. Although I am used to seeing idols through a screen, it is a much different experience to have it feel as though they are in the room with you. Imagine your eyes are the cameras filming TXT’s performance, that is how intimate the experience feels. It is as though the members are performing specifically for you. The boys performed some of their hits including earlier songs in their career like Magic Island and recent ones like Deja Vu.

After the concert is over, the VR experience shifts to behind the scenes footage of the filming. There, you feel as though you were a part of the crew and part of the filming process. The members acknowledge you every step of the way, even delivering a special thank you message at the end.

The concert was created by AmazeVR, an LA and Seoul VR concert platform company that helps bring fans closer to artists, virtually. AmazeVR has created experiences with Megan Thee Stallion, T-Pain, Avenged Sevenfold, and Aespa. And now, Tomorrow x Together has been added to their roster. The concert theater tour offers fans an up-close viewing experience utilizing the theater's sound system and VR headsets to ensure optimal audio quality while maintaining a communal atmosphere for fans to enjoy the show together.

Tickets for the concert theater tour went on sale on July 17th and the concert tour launched on August 8th.
