FT Island has made a comeback with the 7th full-length album Serious on July 10.
It contains FT Island’s strong will to break away from the ‘me’ defined by the world, show the true ‘me’ without any additions or subtractions, and continue to walk my own path. This is their first new album in 10 months since their previous 9th mini-album "Sage", and their first full-length album in about 8 years since their 6th full-length album Where’s the truth? (2016).
The 7th full-length album ‘Serious’ contains a total of 10 songs, including the double title songs ‘BURN IT’ and ‘Serious’. FT Island participated in writing lyrics and composing all songs, further strengthening the team identity. ‘BURN IT’, which was previously released ahead of the album, is a song for those who seek a new beginning by overcoming seemingly impossible things. The simple, repetitive bass riff and the members' powerful voices stand out, and the languid chorus melody that follows is addictive and lingers in your ears. It was pre-released before the release of the 7th full-length album and received a lot of attention.

‘Serious’, which is the same as the album name, starts off as a minimal and dark track and is characterized by a sound that gradually becomes grander by expressing the firm determination toward an unchanging goal through the choir. The repeated lyric ‘Walkin’ till I die’ contains the members’ strong will to overcome obstacles and continue to move forward on their own path.
