K-pop Mini Con is a 1-Day K-pop convention with panels, vendor hall, and mini concert, held at Atlanta's Gas South District. It also doubles as the name of the fan-based organization who hosts K-pop events throughout the southeast U.S. Their mission is to foster fandom wherever they go and this convention was an inspired effort to to bring fans together.

Atlanta continues to be a hub for K-pop events, large and small. The mini convention was sponsored by Pocamarket and Kokee Tea, with the latter hosting a room where fans could pick up goodies and purchase boba drinks to sip on while attending a panel, trading cards, or walking the vendor floor.

The main daytime events were age-inclusive; The vendor hall featured local artists and small K-pop business owners, random play dance opportunities for all skill levels nearly every hour, photocard trading, K-drama watching, and panels like 'Kpoppin Over 30' and "Do you know BTS?" trivia. There were even tattoo artists prepped and ready to bring fan visions to life.

BEOMHAN, a multifaceted independent artist, recently debuted with his single 'Me, Myself, and I.' To celebrate and reconnect with fans after debut, Beomhan has booked another fan-meeting tour along the eastside of  the U.S. Beomhan has always maintained a welcoming and fun environment for his fans, where he curates safe spaces online and at fan meetings; Beomhan's meet & greet at Kpop Mini Con allowed him to interact with fans who had been waiting in line as well as grabbing their photo ops and autographs when it was their turn for a one-on-one moment. Other meet & greets in the convention space included mother/daughter duo and internet sensations, Bebop & Bebe, and singer-songwriter, GSOUL

The evening presented attendees with the opportunity to attend a mini concert with the Edgewood String Quartet opening for Korean R&B artist, GSoul.

The quartet awed fans with their alluring renditions of classic K-pop hits from groups like Stray KidsSHINee, and Tomorrow x Together. Around an hour later, fans welcomed R&B genius, GSoul, to the stage. Singing songs like 'Hate Everything' and 'Tequila' that either pull at the heartstrings or ignite a fire in fans, he kept the show intimate and still exciting. GSoul joined the crowd to hand front row fans red roses, and spontaneously deciding to run through the aisles stopping to sing and dance with fans who were moving in time with his addicting sound or singing their hearts out.

GSoul's highly-anticipated meet & greet continued after the show back in the vendor hall, where fans could get last minute goods, join in the final RPDs to close out their day. K-pop Mini Con as an organization continues to grow their abilities and reach, keep up with their events at kpopminicon.com to see what they bring to your southeast state.
