In 2023, the UK saw many events celebrating K-Pop and Korean culture in commemoration of 140 years of diplomatic relations between the UK and South Korea. This year, London is kicking off with a K-Pop festival in none other than New Malden!
New Malden is known as the Korean centre in London, and is said to be one of the best in Europe. In Partnership with The Tree Stone KBBQ restaurant, for two days New Malden will host it's first K-Pop festival in order to make the town more fun for everybody!
The owner of The Tree Stone made the statement "첫술에 배부르랴 // Are you full after the first drink?", emphasising that small drops truly do make a mighty ocean in order to make this event a success and as enjoyable as possible.
The festival will take place from 5th - 6th April 2024 at New Malden Methodist Church, KT3 4BY. It will run from 13:00 - 18:00 where guests can enjoy a K-Talent Show with dancers and singers, a K-Pop fair with populary K-beauty, albums and merchandise, as well as plenty of Korean food and snacks! For all the K-Pop choreography buffs, there will also be a random play dance for guests to take part in!
The event will also feature special guest; South Korean model and influencer Minseo Kim!
