UK K-POP Competition 2023


Party anyone? This winter, Euro Journal - the largest South Korean newspaper in Europe - and notable Korean events organiser Wook Kim (aka Woogie) are bringing you the ultimate Korean performing arts event "UK K-POP Competition 2023". 

The event will take place on December 3rd between 1pm - 6pm GMT at:

In an effort to further integrate Korean culture and performing arts into the UK, a series of distinguished choreographers from South Korea and the UK were invited by Woogie to judge UK-based Korean music dance groups. The competition will be broadcast live in Korea to highlight the effect of K-Pop both in Europe, and globally. 


The Judge Line Up:


Sharon JuneChoreographer / Movement Coach / Dancer 


Sharon is a London-based choreographer, movement coach, teacher and dancer working with the best artists in the industry. She's worked on music videos, fashion campaigns, and performances for stars such as Janet Jackson, Pharrel, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Little Mix, Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson, French Montana and many more. She's also been performing on the Future Nostalgia World Tour with Dua Lipa as a Dance Captain!



Jay Kim - International Choreographer

Jay Kim is an international choreographer and former instructor at 1Million Dance Studio and Millennium Dance in Singapore, as well as dance trainer at LOEN Entertainment (now known as Kakao M, home label of IU and Son Ga-In) and Forest Entertainment! 


Jun Young Kim - Producer

Jun Young Kim is a producer at Polaris Entertainment, BlockBerry Creative and NEWTYPE Entertainment. He also took part in the production of K-Pop hits such as NMIXX  "O.O",  WANNAONE "Always" (Acoustic Ver.), Infinite "CLOCK" and many more! He's also the CEO of content and advertisement company "Studio 25", and music publishing company "The Waves Inc."!


AZODi - K-Pop Producer

AZODi is a producer and songwriter specialising in K-pop and Pop.
He wrote the lead track "On My Way" for Kim Woojin’s album "The Moment: Bounce", as well as worked on live performances of the song on Korea’s biggest TV stations. He was also awarded a prestigious plaque by SM Entertainment for "Creator of the Month" in February for his K-Pop/Rock flip of NCT127's ‘"Hey Yo"!



1st place winners will recieve a £1000 prize, followed by £500 and £300 for 2nd and 2rd place. The competition will then be followed by a K-Pop party! Where you can dance the night away to all your favourite K-Pop songs.
