TXT Shows Off Their Growth in Epic New Album "The Name Chapter: FREEFALL"

TXT are back with the second installment to their "The Name Chapter" series, "The Name Chapter: FREEFALL". This comeback acts as a continuation from their previous album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION" which was released nearly 9 months prior.

The title track "Chasing That Feeling" is an 80s style song, paired with a cinematic MV featuring the members running around New York, with each following coloured lights and coming into their individual superpowers.

The album contains a total of 10 tracks, demonstrating the diversity of their talents in a wide a variety of genres from R&B and indie-rock, to their first heavy metal track "Growing Pain". The members are also credited for some of the lyrics and production. The album includes previous releases such as their Jonas Brothers collaboration "Do it Like That", the TXT version of their pre-release with Annita "Back for More", and "Blue Spring" - which the group unveiled at their last concert tour.

The overall album follows themes of growth and change, specifically in the period between adolescence and adulthood. In an interview with Teen Vogue, the members revealed that the first track "Growing Pain" is directly connected to the last track - "Farewell, Neverland" - from their previous album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION". The members also highlighted how there were some moments where they came full-circle, as the lyrics for "Blue Spring" and the Korean title for "Deep down" (머리에 솟아난 뿔은 나의 왕관이었다 // The Horn that Grew from My Head was Actually My Crown) referenced their debut song "Crown".

"There's a horn growing out of my head. I thought it was a pain, but because we have that horn, we could grow. So, it's actually a crown, not a horn."
- Taehyun, Teen Vogue.

"The Name Chapter: FREEFALL" is now available globally, including on Spotify and Apple Music. Promotions for the album have kicked off with the stage performances of "Chasing That Feeling" and "Back for More (TXT Ver.)" on KBS Music Bank, with more expected to come soon.
