The 2023 Global Citizen Concert, which kicked off on a rainy Saturday, September 23 at Central Park's Great Lawn, was a spectacular and star-studded affair. This extraordinary 6-hour long event brought together some of the most iconic names in the music industry, including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the legendary MS. Lauryn Hill, the mesmerizing Jungkook from BTS, the talented trio 3RACHA from Stray Kids, the ever-charming Conan Gray, the electrifying Anitta, the enchanting Sofia Carson, and the incredible DJ D-NICE who had surprises of his own. Each of these artists delivered dynamic performances that left an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience, uniting them through the power of music for noble causes.
The atmosphere at the concert was nothing short of electric, as fans from all walks of life came together to brave the wind and rain to celebrate the cause and enjoy the sensational performances. KpopWise, was on hand to capture some of these awe-inspiring moments on stage, providing viewers with an up-close and personal look at the artists' performances. The 2023 Global Citizen Concert was not just a musical extravaganza; it was a powerful testament to the unifying force of music and its ability to inspire positive change on a global scale.
Anitta
Anitta put on a fiery performance of her Latin and pop hits. She performed songs like ‘Used to be,’ ‘Grip,’ ‘Envolver’ and ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ Anitta was full of energy and charisma with her expert dance moves and she had the crowd dancing along.

3RACHA, the talented three main rappers of the Stray Kids rap unit, Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, took the stage by storm with their high-energy rap and stage presence. They performed some of their popular songs, the self-titled ‘3RACHA,’ ‘HEYDAY,’ and ‘Topline’ The crowd loved their performance especially STAYS, and they showed their support by cheering enthusiastically. The presence of the other Stray Kids members’ was felt as fans used their SKZOO (Stray Kids representative mascots) dolls to dance along.
Sofia Carson performed her song ‘Come Back Home’ and a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and Her performance was emotional and powerful.
Jungkook was accompanied by a live band and a team of backup dancers, and he put on a truly electrifying show. His charming vocals and energetic dance moves captivated the crowd. He surprised the audience by opening with a solo version of BTS’ song ‘Euphoria’ the sang his mega hit ‘Seven’ with a guest appearance by Latto. He also performed a medley of BTS songs ‘Permission to Dance’, ‘Dynamite,’ and ‘Butter’, and he left everyone wanting more.

Launching into her tour celebrating the 25th Anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Ms. Lauryn Hill treated the crowd to her classics including 'Doo Wop (That Thing)' and 'Everything Is Everything', and was joined on stage by The Fugees for soulful renditions of 'Killing Me Softly', 'Ready or Not' and 'Fu-Gee-La'. Red Hot Chili Peppers closed out the night with an epic set featuring their greatest hits, including 'Can't Stop', 'Scar Tissue' and 'Californication'.
Overall, the 2023 Global Citizen Concert was a huge success. All of the acts delivered stellar performances, It was a night to remember, and it was a great way to raise awareness of important global issues. The concert was a reminder of the power of music to bring people together and to make a difference in the world.
