June, the charming R&B singer with his unique and soulful sound, is embarking on his first solo U.S. tour, JUNETober, this fall. The tour will take him to major cities across the country, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Antonio, and kick-off at the Korean Festival in Houston on October 7.
June is a rising star in the K-R&B scene, whose music receives high praises, leaving much anticipation for his next release. He is known for his passionate vocals and his ability to connect with his listeners on a personal level. You will be able to see June perform for yourself very soon. KpopWise caught up with June ahead of his tour.
Congratulations on your upcoming U.S. tour, “JUNEtober”! How excited are you to perform in front of your American fans?
This is my second visit to the United States for a performance, and it's very exciting for me! I think it's great to be able to come to another country to connect and share my music with people!
What can fans expect from your live performances during this tour?
You may not have heard live the songs released after 2019, so if you are looking forward to the live performance, the biggest advantage is that you can listen to the songs from 2020, 2021, and 2022 live. You can also listen to the songs scheduled for release in October live!
Are there any specific cities in the U.S. that you're particularly excited to visit and perform in? Any places you've always wanted to experience?
No matter where I'll visit the United States, I am sure to have fun memories! Rather than visiting any specific place, any place where you can make good memories with your fans is great!
Is there a restaurant or food you want to try on tour?
I want to try a hot dog at a restaurant that is famous for street hot dogs!
Are there any American artists you'd love to collaborate with in the future?
I want to meet a singer named Musiqsoulchild!
I just want to see his life from the inside, and I really want to meet him because he is the person who motivated me musically!
As you greet your American audience, what messages or emotions do you hope your music conveys to your listeners?
I really want to become an artist who reminds others of a certain mood, weather, and scent. So, I hope you can feel that and understand your emotions faster than just the content!
Aside from your own music, you also produce for other artists. How do you manage a balance between your work?
Other singers' work seems to take a lot more effort because they have to capture the other singer's characteristics. My music seems to be relatively less difficult to write because I understand my characteristics well. I think that's the main point in my music, to create songs with hooks that are less difficult.
What advice do you have for aspiring musicians, who look up to you and your journey in the music industry?
I think it's important to believe in yourself and to believe until the end, 'I will definitely
turn out the way I want.' I can't say it will be the end yet, but I will continue to believe in myself. It will be hard and there will be hardships, but the habit of believing in myself even if things don't go the way you want is important.
Are there any upcoming projects or releases you can share with your fans?
The single album will be released in early October. Of course, you can experience it live during this tour!

It’s been about 4 years since I met you in the United States.
We have prepared a lot of songs that you weren't able to hear live before!
