K-pop Places #1 on TikTok Korea’s ‘Song of the Summer’ List

 

TikTok, the global short video platform, this Friday, dropped the TikTok 2023 list of ‘Song of the Summer’ list for Korea. 

What is so special about it? You might question. The fact is that in the #1 place of the songs listened the most is placed a brand new K-pop song titled ‘Super Shy’ from the girl group NewJeans. 

You may know them for their debut song ‘Attention’ which was released in 2022. 

However, the #2 place is occupied by an English track called ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ which went viral thanks to some trends on the platform which are still popular this month. 

Meanwhile, the #3 and #5 place is occupied by the (G)I-DLE’s hit ‘Queencard’ and the FIFTY FITY’s ‘Cupid’ sped version, elevating the K-pop music on an international level once again.
