BTS’s J-hope announced (Sunday 16th, 12pm KST) he’ll be releasing his critically acclaimed album ‘Jack in the Box’ in physical form Friday August 18th. 'Jack in the Box (Hope edition)' will contain the 10 existing tracks, with three additional live tracks from his Lollapalooza set. The album will also feature instrumentals of title tracks "More" and "Arson" the news comes after the one-year anniversary of Jack in the Box released July 15th, 2022.
'Jack in the Box' was J-Hope's debut solo album consisting of ten raw and passionately intensive tracks that explored his intricate life and burning creative passion to carry on. The songs carried the message of hope and saw a mix of genres in one album. The album itself could only be listened to via Weverse albums, and streaming devices, breaking away from traditional CD formats.
In a statement, BigHit announced “We are pleased to announce the release of “Jack In the Box (HOPE Edition),” a solo album by BTS member j-hope.“Jack In the Box (HOPE Edition)” is a physical album prepared for fans who have been able to enjoy “Jack In the Box” only through its Weverse album.
On top of the existing tracks in the new solo album “Jack In the Box (HOPE Edition)” adds three live tracks performed at Lollapalooza and two instrumental tracks. New photos and items have been included to befit the version title “HOPE Edition.”
During BTS's 10-year festa celebrations J-Hope released "Arson (the rock version)" available via Soundcloud and Youtube. The member currently enlisted in the military, is known for his intricate planning, and has had plenty of content planned for fans while away. Before his enlistment, he was unveiled as Louis Vuitton's global brand ambassador and released his single “On the Street (featuring J Cole)” back in March.
Wednesday 19th will see J-hope appear on fellow BTS member SUGAS's popular youtube talk show Suchwita to the delight of fans.
Jack in the Box (Hope edition) is available for pre-order 11 am Monday 17th July KST with an album release date of 1 pm Friday, August 18th KST.
