On February 21, Mnet updated about the much-anticipated lineup of the second season of Queendom.
Hyolyn
Queen of her own label Bridge Entertainment, Hyolyn debuted in 2010 in the 4 member group Sistar, who is known as the "Queens of Summer" for their sizzling songs released during the summer. Hyolyn is a dynamic performance as she is highly skilled in singing and dancing.
Brave Girls
Brave Girls, once on the brink of disbandment less than a year ago, are now one of Korea's most beloved groups since their 2017 song "Rollin'' went viral because of Korean military men's nostalgia about the group coming to perform at military camps regularly for years. The song topped the charts for months in 2021. We will be able to see the group's determination on this show.
VIVIZ
VIVIZ, former members, and half of the beloved group GFriend will show off their talent and experience as a trio on Queendom 2. It will be interesting what sorts of performance the ladies will serve us.
LOONA
LOONA to the delight of Orbits will paint the town as part of the Queendom competition. One of the large groups of the season it will be interesting to see the powerful stage dynamics that they can introduce to the stage.
WJSN
WJSN, another large group will have the shot to show their variety of charms. As a group that has 4 different units with different favors, it is exciting to think about the combinations they will be able to come up with.
Kep1er
Kep1er will come with something to prove as the rookie group of the lineup. We will be able to see how they develop as artists through this competition as a group rather than trainees.
About the choice of artists selected for the show, the production team commented,
“The six artists all have a history of placing No. 1 on music programs. They will make music fans happy through great performances that will be as diverse as their own unique individualities.”
Queendom 2 will be hosted by Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. The show is set to premiere on March 31, 2022 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
